About
SPENCER BENEDICT STABLES
Our Story
2023 brought on a new adventure for Spencer Benedict Stables. We have relocated to the beautiful Jacobs Farm in Rutherford County, Tennessee. This beautiful new facility is home to Spencer and Carrie Benedict, the entire Spencer Benedict Stables team and their World Champion Tennessee Walking Horses.
This full-service facility for both training and breeding hosts multiple barns with a capacity of 150+ stalls. However, despite their prestigious rapport and award-winning horses, there’s something else that makes their stables so memorable and leaves you thinking of their modern-day oasis long after you leave. Spencer and Carrie Benedict have mastered the art of combining world-class services, mixed with the authenticity and hospitality of a family-run farm. Their love and passion for what they do seep into every aspect of how they run the stables and is the very core of their business.
About the Owners
Spencer and Carrie Benedict have been inducted into the South-Central Kentucky Walking and Racking Horse Association Hall of Fame. On top of this prestigious award, Spencer was recently (January 2022) inducted into the Kentucky Walking Horse Association Hall of Fame.
Spencer became licensed with the Walking Horse Trainers Association in 1990 and is a second-generation breeder. His father, Carroll Benedict is recognized as a Master Breeder with TWHBEA (Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association.
Both Spencer and Carrie have bred, raised, trained, or started horses who have won World or World Championships in every division; Halter, Model, Flat Shod, Park Performance and Performance. Personally, they also have “skin in the game”, owning a large band of World Champion or World Champion Producing mares as well as Several Breeding stallions, and show horses.
Spencer and Carrie both currently serve on the International Board of Directors for TWHBEA for the State of Kentucky, while Spencer has been a former Executive Committee Member serving as VP of Trainer as well as Senior VP. Carrie currently serves on the Executive Committee as VP of Owners’/International and formerly as VP Breeder. Spencer also serves on the Walking Horse Trainers Board of Directors whilst Carrie serves as a lifetime Board of Directors for the Kentucky Walking Horse Breeders Incentive Fund. Between the two of them, it’s safe to say they are a powerhouse team that succeeds in anything they take on.
They’d love to meet you and show you around their stables!
